Marketing Manager – NY

Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic marketer to join a team of energetic frontline marketing managers reporting to the Director of Marketing in an organization positioned for innovation and growth. The successful candidate will manage all marketing efforts to promote AIP's premier scientific journals, content, and services – almost exclusively digital and online content focused – into the STM institutional/library market. Engage directly with our institutional customers, primarily librarians, building relationships, understanding and addressing their workflows, participating in product development for the community. Work closely with the sales team and sales agents to implement campaigns, identify prospects, develop leads, create sell sheets, and analyze ROI. Participate in the preparation of yearly marketing objectives and individual marketing plans, including the design of marketing efforts to increase revenue, drive sales, and drive usage. Regularly review and analyze AIP sales and usage data to determine trends, and provide detailed reports, analyses, and recommendations for Director's review and use. Participate in overall exhibit strategy and own the exhibits and events targeting the library market. Bachelor's degree and five years marketing experience in publishing required, preferably scholarly publishing, with librarian community interactions. Ability to perform data analysis, mine data, write copy, and coordinate efforts of freelance designers and copywriters necessary.
